Rec League state is for wrestlers with two seasons of experience or less. That means they cannot have competed in more than 1 season prior to this season. If you are unsure if you qualify then please reach out to Utahwrestlingevents@gmail.com. If you are found to have more than 2 seasons of experience then you will be disqualified without a refund.

Registration: Registration is $30 and wrestlers must be registered by Thursday, January 29th at 6pm MST/7pm CST.

Admissions: Admission will be $5 to get into the event for those 16 and older.

Weigh-ins: Weigh ins should take place on Wednesday, January 28th or Thursday, January 29th. Each club, school, or rec league coach is responsible to hold a satellite weigh in for his or her qualified wrestlers and enter weights into trackwrestling.com no later than 9pm on January 29th. Any questions please direct to Utahwrestlingevents@gmail.com. There is no weight allowance.

Membership: Must have a valid 2025-2026 USA Card with minimum of a Limited Folkstyle status per wrestler. 

Period Length/Rules Modifications: 
USAWU, National Federation, and UHSAA rules will govern all matches except the following:

• PreK-4th grade bouts will consist of 3 periods of 1 min each.
• 5th-9th grade will consist of 3 periods of 1 min 15 seconds each.
• All consolation matches will consist of 3 periods of 1 minute each for all ages.
• Overtime to be a 1-minute sudden death followed by (1) 30-second ride out period.

Boys must register in the Boys Division, and Girls in the Girls Division where the division is offered.
