Kaleb Sanchez is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Duchesne Junior High. He is best described as a wrestler with a lot of heart and sheer determination, both on and off the mat.
With the guidance of several phenomenal coaches, competitive teammates, along with supportive parents: Kaleb made huge strides this year. He had the opportunity to work with two great wrestling programs in the Uintah Basin; Duchesne wrestling during the folkstyle season, and Longhorn Wrestling Club for Greco-Freestyle.
Kaleb was the 120lb State Champion in both Greco & Freestyle at Utah State. He now has the privilege of proudly representing Team Utah at the Schoolboy Nationals in Indiana and the Western Dual team in Idaho this summer. Recently, he was a part of Team Utah at the Yellowstone Middle School Duals. Kaleb placed 1st at the US Open Greco division in Las Vegas and continues his undefeated season in Greco for 2017. He also won his 2017 All-star Match earlier this year. He has truly had some amazing experiences this season that he is thankful for.
In addition to wrestling, Kaleb plays football as a Quarterback and Running back. His strong work ethic is instilled from working on his family’s farm in Utah. Kaleb loves to make everyone laugh around him. He has two younger sisters (whom he adores) and three older brothers (he credits for picking on him and making him tough). Kaleb also enjoys being in the outdoors, hunting bear & lion with his faithful hound dogs and also archery hunting in the fall.
