Noah Patterson

Noah Patterson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for March 20th, 2017.

Noah first began wrestling in Elkhorn Nebraska in 7th grade. During his two years in middle school he found a passion for the sport and excelled quickly, setting many school records. Several of those records are still standing today.

As a freshman at Elkhorn South High School in Nebraska he wrestled JV and was named the JV Wrestler of the year. His sophomore year he was a State Qualifier at the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament. He was named the Varsity Wrestler of the year and went on to place at the Midwest Classic in 2015 and become an All American Wrestler.

Noah moved to Utah as a junior, attending American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork. He wrestled for Salem Hills High School that year and finished the year as a Utah Division 4A State Tournament placer, finishing 4th overall. He was named American Leadership Academy’s Elite Athlete of the Year and also the Most Outstanding Junior Wrestler of the Year at Salem Hills. His senior year he had a record of 43-8 at Salem Hills; finishing his high school wrestling career with a trip to the finals at the Utah Division 4A State Tournament. He took 2nd in the state tournament. Noah helped lead the Salem Hills High School Wrestling Team as a team captain to a school record 17 state qualifiers with 8 finishing on the podium. He was named the team’s most outstanding wrestler of the year.

Noah’s passion to help his community is evident in his Scouting experience ending with him receiving his Eagle Scout Award. He has volunteered with many community organizations over the years, from painting houses for those less fortunate to volunteering at various cancer fundraisers.

Noah finishes high school with a GPA of 3.65. He is planning on attending Utah State University after finishing a LDS mission. His hobbies include playing the guitar, traveling, hanging with friends, and dating girls.
