Max Anson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for February 26th, 2017.

Max has been wrestling since he was 10 years old and came up through the Mettle Wrestling and Tactic 3-Style clubs with great coaches in Cole Kelley, Jeff Newby, Ethan Lofthouse and Dwayne Henry. Max is a Sophmore at Lone Peak High school wrestled at 113 this year. 

As a freshman last year , Max wrestled Varsity, lettered and qualified for the Utah State tournament (only the second freshman ever from lone peak to qualify). As a Sophomore, Max went 25 and 13, made the podium at every tournament he attended with his high school team, and again qualified for the 5A State tournament. 

Max has always been an example of hard work and dedication on the mat and in life. Max struggled his first year of youth wrestling but stayed persistent and positive through the years and has now become an very competitive and respected High School wrestler in our State. He has also used the life lessons of hard work and dedication he has learned on the wrestling mat into his life and school work holding a 3.75 GPA at Lone peak. Off the mat, Max enjoys college athletics, skiing, camping, traveling, and of course hanging out with friends.
