Colby Monson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for November 21st, 2016.

Colby is a Sophmore, wrestling 120# for Uintah High School in Vernal, Utah. He has consistently been wrestling since 6th grade. As a freshman, Colby wrestled Varsity and lettered.  Making it to the Utah High School State Championships.  He has earned team awards for being the hardest worker and the most outstanding team wrestler.

Colby has always been a determined and disciplined individual.  Once he puts his mind to something, he stays fully committed until what he wants is accomplished.  His favorite quote is "Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work Hard", because even though he's never been the most talented wrestler on the mat he's won a lot of big matches through hustle and attitude.

Off the mat Colby enjoys crossfit, bird hunting, hanging out with friends, and watching football (especially college).
