Isaac Wilcox has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for September 11th, 2016.

Issac Wilcox is a sophomore this year, and finished his freshman wrestling season in High school taking 3rd in 4a at 138 lbs and then placing 3rd at Utah High school Super State.  He also placed 1st at 145 lbs in Freestyle and Greco in the Cadet division in Utah.  He represented TEAM UTAH at the Cadet duals and finished with a record of 8-0 in freestyle and 8-0 in Greco earning him a spot on the USA All-Cadet team in both styles.  He also wrestled with TEAM UTAH at the Junior duals getting matches in both the 145 and 152 lb weigh classes.  At Fargo, he missed placing in Greco after a 1 point defeat to fellow Utahan Logan Jensen, but bounced back and placed 7th in Freestyle, where he earned All-American status.

Issac has been helped along in his career by lots of talented coaches, most recently he has been working with Nathaniel Holt at Salt Lake Wrestling Academy and is looking forward to his sophomore season at Olympus where he is coached by Devin Ashcroft.

As a  Freshman last year at Olympus, Isaac played Strong Safety on the Sophomore Football team and played Outside Center on the Sophomore Rugby team.
