Sage Mortimer has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for the week of June 23rd, 2016.

Sage wrestles for Champions wrestling club. She was the captain of her Jr. High team and went undefeated all Jr. High season this past year. Some of Sage's recent accomplishments include winning the Nebo District Championships, Northern State Champion, and she took 2nd at the Utah Youth Super State Tournament. She won Utah Greco State, and placed 2nd at Utah Freestyle State.

Sage recently returned from in Indiana and was the first girl from Utah to go to schoolboy duals. She also just recently won Body Bar Girls Nationals. 

This week Sage competed at the Western Regionals Tournament in Pocatello Idaho and  placed 3rd in greco and 5th in freestyle. She took 1st in both freestyle and greco at  in the girls divisions at Western Regionals.

Outside of wrestling, Sage loves babysitting, cooking, camping, fishing, riding 4 wheelers and swimming.
