Jaxten Bowler has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for the week of May 4th, 2016.

When Jaxten was just 2 weeks old he met Coach Dallas Lowry for the first time and he said “that boy is going to be a wrestler.” At the age of 5 Jaxten has completed 3 years of wrestling for the Canyon View Falcons little league program. This year he won a Folkstyle State Championship at So/Central Little League State (2 years in a row), a Greco State Championship (2 years in a row) and a Freestyle State Championship. He is also the Champion of the Intermountain Warrior Challenge, and the Runner-up at Super State. Jaxten is a dedicated Wrestler that never misses a practice. He is self-driven and extremely motivated. His dream for the last two years is to wrestle in the Olympics. When Jaxten met Olympic wrestler Rulon Gardner, he offered to trade his state medal for Rulon’s Olympic medal. The trade was not accepted.

Jaxten is a very active boy, with a smile to light up a room! When he is not wrestling he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting and swimming. He would like to thank the coaches, family members and teammates that are always in his corner and who provide such great support!
