Jaxon Cole has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for August 23rd, 2015.

Jaxon  will be a Junior at North Summit High School in his home town of Coalville, Utah.  He started wrestling when he was 5 years old and it has been his life and the life of his family ever since.  Jaxon is a 4 time 1A, 2A, 3A Jr. High State Champion. He is a multiple USA Utah State Champion in Freestyle, Greco and a 5x Utah triple Crown winner.  Wrestling has given Jaxon the opportunity to travel the country and meet many amazing people who will be life time friends. He has been able to train with some of Utah's top wrestlers and coaches. This past year with his High School team he traveled to Reno to compete in the ROTC were he finished 2nd. Jaxon's goal for High School is to be the first 4x State champion to come out of North Summit. He has put the first two steps towards achieving that goal by winning  the 106lb 2A title his Freshman and Sophomore year. Jaxon won the 106lb High School Super State title this year and finished 7th at Flow Nationals.  He is a 3x Fargo All-American bring home a Greco 5th place last year at 106lbs and a 4th in Greco and a 3rd in Freestyle this year at 113lbs.  Jaxon is ranked 8th in the nation at 113lbs by the AWP(Associated Wrestling Press).

For the two months out of the year when he isn't wrestling he spends his time with friends. He loves to go camping , ride his 4wheeler and fish. But more than anything he loves spending his off time sleeping. 

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups and one for the high school and above age group which will include high school, college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
