Cayaen Smith has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for July  31st, 2015.

Cayaen Smith has two brothers and an English Mastiff named Rya. He loves wrestling, football, baseball, wake surfing and tubing with his family and friends. He also loves to play guitar. Cayaen maintains a 4.0 GPA through out the school year and he has won awards for attitude and academic excellence while attending school. Cayaen is a fun and happy kid and he is very compassionate off the mat and field. He is always smiling, he earned the name "Sunshine" from his football team for not just his bright blond hair but also because he was always building his teammates up and having a great attitude as well as shining on the field.This year was the third year in a row he won the Salt Lake City Slam, his second consecutive year winning the Beehive Brawl, and won the Utah State Triple Crown. He was also Western Regionals Triple Crown and Outstanding wrestler for all three styles and took Second at Kids Cliff Keen Folkstyle Nationals. Cayaen's goals for wrestling are to win 4 State Titles in High School and to win 4 Div 1 NCAA Championships and to wrestle in the Olympics for Team U.S.A.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
