Jordan Davies has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for December 17th, 2014.

 Jordan is 10 years old and attends Northpark Elementary School in Roy, Utah.  He is a very friendly person and when school is out he take at least 15 to 20 minutes to just say goodbye to all his friends.  He is very outgoing, funny and quick witted.  He is a very good student.  He respects people.

 Wrestling was a sport taken up when he was being bullied in 1st grade.  Wrestling has been responsible for increasing his self-esteem to a very high level.  He is a very hard worker and has worked his way up to practicing with the Jr High School wrestlers.  His work ethics at home are amazing.  He does his homework assignments without being told.  He has specific jobs around the house and always accomplishes them without any arguing or hesitation.    

 His wrestling goals include being able to wrestle at the High School level and earn a scholarship to wrestle at the collegiate level. Last year he took 4th at Beehive Brawl and 3rd at Utah Super State in Folkstyle.  He placed 1st at State in Freestyle and 2nd in Greco this was his first year in those two events.  He has taken 1st place in many individual tournaments. He is off to a great start this year.

 Jordan loves to play football and baseball.  He is an excellent catcher for the baseball team he plays for.

His hobbies include building things with Legos, scientific experiments, and fixing anything that involves using tools.  One of his favorite things to do is tease his Grandpa.  His favorite saying is “Always learn from your mistakes”. 

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
