Travyn Boger has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for October 26th, 2014.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Trayvn Wayne Boger is 7 years old.  He is a first grader at Panguitch Elementary in Panguitch, Utah.  He wrestles for Champions Wrestling Club.  He has been wrestling for 3 years but is just now showing a great interest in all 3 styles.  Trayvn has a sweet disposition and always has a smile on his face.  Nothing seems to bother him; for example, he has been wrestling in fall league and has had to wrestle kids 3 to 5 years older than him but has not let it get him down.

Trayvn has had the following accomplishments in 2014: South Central Utah Little League Wrestling State Champion; 3rd at Freestyle State; 5th at Greco State; and 5th in freestyle at Asics Kids Nationals.  His goals for the 2014-2015 season are to win the Beehive Brawl, to win Super State, and to improve on his placing at Greco and Freestyle State. He has already set his wrestling goals for the future, which are to be a Triple Crown winner; to be a 4-time state high school champion; and to wrestle at college.  He loves wrestling and looks up to those who wrestle that are older than him as well as his coaches.  He loves going to practice and learning from Coach Lamont; and he loves any opportunity to work with Cyler Sanderson.

Trayvn also has a love for baseball and working on his Grandpa Bradshaw’s farm. He loves going to cattle auctions with his grandpa.  He also loves the outdoors.  When he grows up, he wants to be an auctioneer and a wrestling coach. Trayvn is grateful for those who help him learn all he can about wrestling and is grateful for those who nominated him for athlete of the week.
