Gentry Warner of Champions Wrestling Club has been named the wrestleutah.com Wrestler of the Week for the week of January 18-24th 2012.
Each week, wrestleutah.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Gentry Warner has had a good year. After placing 5th last year in the 1A, 2A and 3A Jr. High Tournament last year, he returned to become a Jr. High State Champion, and an All American after placing second at the NCHSA Middle School Nationals last month. He is currently a favorite to win Greco and Freestyle this weekend at Novice 80lbs.
